Bread and Pizza
My grandmother and father have made bread throughout my life, so I have always been around bread making. My grandmother was from Italy so she made bread frequently, especially focaccia. My father made and still makes mostly baguettes, easter bread, and “pepperoni rolls”. I started making pizza during COVID as a way to stay busy, and put energy into perfecting something to the best of my ability. During this time, I would deliver pizzas to the neighbors in paper shopping bags.
Coffee
My love for coffee began mostly in 2013. It started out with simple k-cups, that then evolved into French press, AeroPress, V60 pour-over and the Flair manual espresso maker. I enjoy a dark roast, but have recently been experimenting more with the lighter roasts.
Barbecue and Grilling
I began BBQ and grilling in scouts. We used to foil cook in the fire, use the griddle, and other camp kitchen equipment. That evolved into my love for offset smokers, the Weber Smokey Mountain, Weber Kettle grill, Santa Maria grills, griddles and more. Cooking over fire is a primitive way of cooking that I believe creates the most superb of flavors.
